There is a mini supermarket situated next door to the Chesil House building.
There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops nearby the property. Vending machines are available selling drinks and snacks.
The seven-mile-long beach is only a twenty-minute walk away from the accommodation. Go down there for a stroll or to take part in one of the many water sports available. The New Forest National Park with miles of unspoilt ancient landscapes, wild ponies and deer, disused railways and leave lanes offer plenty to do for a day out.
All rooms are equipped with a desk and study chair, wardrobe, bookshelf and free Wi-Fi. Guests are welcome to use the communal areas which have free to air TV, games consoles and pool tables and IPads.
An on-site launderette is equipped with washers and dryers (for a small charge).
Demonstration kitchen for educational and social use and numerous areas for study are available.
I had stayed at Lyme Regis House last month, and am back in Chesil House again next week. Ultimately you don't book this sort of accommodation and expect top quality premium facilities. My room overlooked the courtyard and unfortunately lots of noise came up from the common room way past my intended bedtime, as I needed to be up before 6 each morning. It is maybe just worth you knowing in case it is possible to try to allocate the groups of students on that side of the building, and the individual bookings to the road side, in future. Thanks though, you have really helped me out this summer. I lived in London but started a new job in Poole at the end of June and am due to complete my flat purchase on 25th August. It would have been very expensive finding standard hotel accommodation in Bournemouth/Poole so I'm really pleased with what you have provided me with. DeletedD

Additional and better quality pillows needed, more crockery needed, kitchen bin stank on arrival and was left unchanged all weekend, soap should be provided in bathrooms. Staff were friendly but early check in was not available despite requesting this as advised on website. Security issue with another resident on sat night as detailed with reception. DeletedD

Check-in is at the main reception at Chesil House. Outside of office hours, please report to the Security officer on site.
Directions:
By Car: Chesil House is in the heart of Bournemouth, just minutes away from the town centre.
By Train: Chesil House is easily accessible via public transport. The train station with trains connecting to London, Southampton airport and other destinations, such as Birmingham and Manchester, is only a five to ten minute walk away.
By Air: Southampton airport is the nearest airport and is only a 30-minute train ride away. The train station is right outside the airport entrance/exit. All major London airports are within easy reach via train from Bournemouth.
