The space
This light and airy, eco-friendly 4 bedroomed cottage has been beautifully refurbished and comes complete with an open planned well equipped kitchen/dining room with electric AGA and underfloor heating!A large family bathroom. Visitors can snuggle up in the cosy living room in front of a wood burning stove.
A haven for peace and fresh air, 2 Lower Spire sits nestled in the Liscombe valley, just below Winsford moor. Visitors can walk along the River Barle and see the many species of birds or walk up onto Winsford Hill to see the herd of native Exmoor ponies that inhabit the moor.
There are endless opportunities for adventure seekers and wildlife watchers. enjoy a full range of activities from fishing and kayaking, to horse riding and red deer safaris.
For romantics who want to walk back from an Exmoor pub, be amazed by stars in a dark sky and hear the owls at night.
For seekers of peace who want to park up the car, enjoy cottage life, unwind and recharge, in front of a log fire.
There are endless opportunities for visitors to see or do or just enjoy doing nothing in a cosy cottage, secluded in its own valley, immersed by beauty.
Guest access
The cottage is located in a secluded valley off the road at the end of a private gravel track.
Well behaved dogs are welcome although we'd prefer it if they didn't share the beds and remained in the kitchen and utility room!
If you have bikes or kayaks you are welcome to store them in one of the stables!
A basket of logs is provided free of charge.
There are stunning circular walks in every direction and landmarks, activities, beaches and the motorway all within half an hour’s drive.
The vibrant dog-welcoming town of Dulverton is just five miles away with a range of independent shops, eateries and award winning pubs. There is a strong sense of community with a farmer’s market and various festivals throughout the year.
Dogs should be kept on leads when outside of the property so as not to disturb the birds and other wildlife.
